Yes, a master grower for ornamental and edible crops are important but vastly different from cannabis. I have witnessed growers with this type background, but the trouble with cannabis there are so many variables that need attention, that a grower, should have much experience in cannabis, know the plant. I was called to give an opinion of a huge grow outside Las Vegas, Nevada. I questioned the grower, whom said he had never grown cannabis, but other plants. Well, we checked the ph in the soil and found that it was off the charts and his cannabis plants were in danger…Of course, when you are talking about greenhouses with at least 600,000 plants, you better know all the facts, otherwise, you lose an entire crop, and then the grower is looking for another job. What we specialize in, is setting up the operation correctly, right entity structure, so that the facility does not go under due to 280E tax issues. This is really where cannabis cultivation entities “need” expert advice on how to keep their revenues instead of paying a 70% federal tax rate. Bottom line, you can be the master grower, but when it comes to profits, make sure the facility is set up correct, to keep the federal taxes in check….Its not what you make, its what you keep!!! Reply
