Unrivaled’s Frank Kneuttel wants these brands to mean a lot to west coast customers; that’s the big business game plan, always. But, it’s all still talk. Customers either already know good weed when they see it, know good brands from their experiences, or they trust the budtenders to guide them to what they want. There is plenty of high quality weed, indoor and outdoor, all over the place, and customers don’t want the same strains and brands every time anyway; they want variety. There’s presently no need for big brands from afar, in fact, there’s a prejudice against them, understandably. Sure, it’s likely that some day, as the market grows and Federal legalization happens, these brands will get some traction. At the present moment, I can hardly find these products in a routine Leafly search for them in Eugene, OR, not when I would want to buy them given the great variety of high quality products available.
