CBE Press LLC Bolsters Advertising and Marketing Efforts: Adds Media Industry Veteran Newell Thompson to Team

As Cannabis Ancillary Businesses and Licensees begin their 2021 advertising and sponsorship planning, CBE Press LLC (CBE) is pleased to announce the hiring of Newell Thompson, a publishing and media executive with over 30 years of Madison Avenue experience. Thompson will head up business development for CBE including all advertising sales and sponsorship marketing for CBE’s electronic offering as well as building additional revenue streams for the company.

The Cannabis Industry is moving to a new stage in its development and CBE needs fresh blood and client focused sale and marketing insight and leadership to continue to grow its distribution and readership in order to provide advertisers and content sponsors with access to one of the largest databases of licensee product and service buyers. With over 52,000 daily e-newsletter subscribers and growing, almost 80% of whom hold executive management titles, CBE is poised to continue to grow and adding an executive with Newell’s client centric and creative marketing solutions approach will allow CBE to improve its solutions mix to help our advertisers sell their products and services.

Newell and I have known one another and worked together intermittently for over thirty years bringing custom solutions to marketers fall shapes and sizes. He has held high level management roles with blue-chip publishing companies like Time Inc. where he built & led a 25-million-dollar content studio inside of TIME, Fortune, Sports Illustrated & Money. From inception to execution, his team delivered native storytelling through video, native, print, experiential, research, data visualizations and white papers.

He has held a variety of significant media/publishing leadership positions including:

  • Group Publisher at North American Media Group
  • Advertising Director at Conde Nast’s Golf Digest and
  • New York Manager of Time, Inc.

Please welcome Newell to the CBE team, he can be reached at [email protected]. Like I have experienced over the years, you will find Newell to be an intuitive marketer and partner in your efforts to build your brand’s visibility and sales. CBE Press looks forward to continuing our efforts to serve the Cannabis Industry with content that helps them build their businesses and by connecting licensees and ancillary product and service providers.
