MJ Unpacked Debuts A Series of 3D Virtual Summits Starting May 12th

PRESS RELEASE

In Wake of COVID-19, New Cannabis Executive Event Series Transforms to Digital

SEATTLE and DENVER, April 6, 2020Jage Media, a cannabis business event and media firm, has transformed its MJ Unpacked event series, to a 3D Virtual Summit in the wake of COVID-19. The new online series will kick off with a Colorado-market-focused event, May 12-14. The online series will continue to be uniquely tailored for cannabis brands and retailers. Delivered as a 3D Virtual Summit, MJ Unpacked Colorado will provide attendees a unique, 3D experience inside a highly interactive space featuring virtual exhibit halls — as well as peer-to-peernetworking sessions, digital round tables, and deep dives into state-specific actionable intelligence, best practices, and trends.

“We are excited we can convene the industry through a thoughtfully tailored and curated digital event series,” said George Jage, CEO of Jage Media. “Cannabis, like all industries, is responding to new realities in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. As we adapt, the ability for retailers and brands to convene and address the market landscape, state by state, is more important than ever.”

MJ Unpacked Colorado attendees will have the same opportunities as they would attending in-person, with engaging sessions and a clear and purposeful focus on the needs of cannabis retailers and brands. Sessions will include live Q&A; facilitated roundtables; and the ability for attendees to visit, gather information and live chat with exhibitors. Attendees can also live chat with other attendees, and enter into group conversations. Said Jage, “The care and thought given to how to give people the opportunity to interact and engage is considerable. Too many online events are only focused on broadcasting a one-way message, rather than allowing people to really interact. Our team understands that difference — and has worked hard to ensure we won’t just be talking at people, but allowing them to really explore the show floor, participate in the community conversations and engage with the brands and retailers in creative ways that bring the full experience to life.”

On day one, MJ Unpacked partner BDS Analytics will showcase its market-leading industry intelligence, revealing insights and information never shared before — all presented in a virtual auditorium. According to BDS Analytics CEO and co-founder, Roy Bingham, the data presented will be “a deeper dive into the cannabis market than at any other event in the company’s history.”

On day two, a retail panel consisting of influential executives from MSOs, in-state retail chains, and independent retailers will focus in on the challenges of, and opportunities available in retail cannabis. Other sessions will include customer acquisition, real valuation trends, and case studies using real data, real problems, and real businesses. A full schedule of programming can be found on mjunpacked.com.

“Attendees to the first MJ Unpacked event should expect an engaging and experiential scene filled with exceptional programming, in-event networking, topic-driven roundtables, a social networking lounge, and even in-event games,” said chief marketing officer Kim Jage.

Exhibiting brands will have a unique opportunity to showcase their products in customized virtual booths featuring product placement, video and other rich media content, plus lead generation, and live chat capabilities. MJ Unpacked will deliver a second digital event, MJ Unpacked California on June 2- 4, followed by events for Oregon, and a combined event for Nevada and Arizona.

Added Jage, “With this new format, we can also invite brand and retail executives from outside the state of Colorado to this inaugural 3D Virtual Summit, giving them a great opportunity to build their network, and engage with leading Colorado executives. We love that there is this new, added opportunity for state by state knowledge sharing and discussion.”
