Medical marijuana edibles could be for sale in Ohio dispensaries in coming days, according to the first Ohio company approved to extract THC from marijuana plants and process it into products for patients.
Grow Ohio received a medical marijuana processor certificate of operation from Ohio regulators last week.
The company, based in East Fultonham in Muskingum County, will do a test run next week with its THC-infused oil, said Grow Ohio’s Josh Febus.
THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol is the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.
The test run, which could take a few hours, is aimed at making sure Grow Ohio’s machinery is properly calibrated to produce THC oil.
Gummies, syringes filled with an edible oil and tinctures, which are bottles with droppers that patients place under the tongue, will be the first products in dispensaries, Febus said. [Read more at Cleveland.com]
