CBE Press Announcement Dave Hoades
CBE Press Announces Addition of Acting Managing Editor

VIENNA, Virginia, April 3, 2017 – CBE Press LLC and CBC Group, the publishers of cbetotal.wpengine.com, its weekly newsletters and the new Cannabis Business Executive Conference series including www.cbec2018.com, announce the addition of Dave Hodes as acting managing editor.

Hodes joins the CBE Press LLC team as business editor, writer and reporter for both the cannabis business-to-business and business-to-consumer arena.  He brings to CBE Press LLC and CBC Group 30 years of journalistic best practices in print, online and broadcast, including work as a news editor and field producer for CBS News and other media organizations.

Hodes is a member of the National Press Club and deputy chair of the NPC Newsmakers Committee. He is based in the Washington D.C. area.

“We are excited to have a talent of Dave’s caliber join our team,” Rob Meagher, founder and editor of CBE Press, said.  “The cannabis business space is the fastest growing sector in the U.S., so adding Dave to our team will enable us to provide deeper and wider coverage of the critical news shaping the industry.”

As CBE Press LLC expands its cannabis industry content distribution from their current electronic platform into other channels like C-suite events, podcasts and videos, Hodes will bring additional editorial experience to help build quality content for each channel and meet the changing consumption habits of the cannabis audience.

“Dave brings that experience and more to the table,” Meagher said.  “We look forward to his contributions, leadership and strategic understanding of the industry today as it continues to move toward the end of prohibition. Expect to hear from him soon as we build our content base to help industry leaders do their jobs better and position themselves for future opportunities.”

Hodes has been writing about the cannabis business for years, and will share his understanding and unique insight of the industry with business executives. “I will be presenting reports and stories about the emergence of an amazing and complex cash crop business that has finally been allowed to come out of the shadows,” he said. “My goal is to help enterprising C-suite readers get a deeper and clearer understanding of the fast-moving developments in the cannabis industry. I will be tracking new and startup businesses, business expansion, one-of-a-kind retail operations, health care connections, agriculture and new grow technology, product development, policy and law enforcement issues, and give my readers the business intelligence they need for timely, strategic moves in the cannabis space.”

If you are an expert contributor or have a story to share with CBE’s nearly 30,000 subscribers, Dave can be reached at [email protected].
