What’s New at CBE Press….and more!

As we head into the second half of 2016, CBE Press LLC has a lot to share with readers, potential marketing partners, and sponsors selling products and services to the growing ranks of cannabis licensees that are building the legal and regulated industry in the good old U-S-of-A—many of which are increasingly turning to CBE for information that helps them run their businesses better as they pursue profitability.

For those diehard followers and readers, the Cannabis Business Executive website has added new content that will enhance the primary and secondary marketplace for all of our reader’s; including the owners and operators of producer, processor and retail operations; cannabis ancillary businesses; and the local, state, and federal regulators.

We are in the process of introducing The CBE Business Exchange, a classified section, forum and one-stop resource center for industry professionals to share ideas, network, sell assets, find real estate, suppliers, receive valuable training, advice and information from peers and providers.

One of the new resources on our site is a series of “How to” webinars conducted by Offit Kurman, a Baltimore, Maryland based law firm that has launched a cannabis practice and agreed to partner with CBE to bring a variety of helpful, FREE webinars for anyone interested in the business and industry.

2016 Topics to be reviewed include, but are not limited to:

  • Protecting Your Cannabusiness’s Intellectual Property
  • The Cole Memorandum and Limitations on Marketing to Children
  • Focus on Maryland: Getting Past Stage 1 and Into the Black
  • Re-Scheduling or De-Scheduling Cannabis and the Impact on Your Cannabusiness
  • Opportunities and Challenges for Interstate Expansion
  • Focus on Pennsylvania: Building a Winning Application.

On the personnel front, CBE is happy to announce two key hirings.

Christine V. Edmond joined the team as Copy Editor and Content manager. She will be responsible for handling all web-based audience and traffic generation, as well as making sure that CBE adheres to the best practices that my good friend and fellow founder, John Hollon has established on the editing front. Christine, a graduate of my alma mater, American University in Washington DC, has a degree in broadcast journalism as well as a variety of experiences with the Association for Talent Development and other clients that included editorial and copy creation and editing, digital marketing, brand development, social media & website development as well as project management. We are excited to have her on board and all that she brings to provide our readers with fresh ideas, copy, and distribution tools for all of CBE’s content. Christine can be reached at [email protected].

In marketing and sales, Lee Allan joined CBE as Senior Sales and Marketing Director, and is responsible for growing revenues across all current and future media properties and sponsorship opportunities. In addition to touring the planet as a stand-up comic and actor earlier in his career, Lee has served in a variety of senior marketing and new business development positions in the B2B marketplace and is a bona fide market-driven solutions provider, as well as a creative thinker and skilled tactician. Lee adds an element of experience and diverse skill sets to navigate the requirements of today’s electronic marketers and CBE welcomes him to the team as we continue to build out brand and solution sets. Lee is based out of Manhattan Beach, CA and will work closely with Colleen Hobbs in delivering and executing win-win programs for CBE’s growing list of clients.

Lee can be reached at [email protected] or by phone at 310-621-1601.

Stay tuned, sports fans….more to come from CBE in the coming months!
