A company that provides security to the Denver marijuana industry says there’s “chaos” in the Colorado marijuana security market.
The managing director of Iron Protection Group, which is a unit of Denver-based General Cannabis Corp. (over-the-counter bulletin board: CANN) said the company is currently hiring security personnel.
“We understand there is some chaos now going on in the Colorado cannabis security market. We understand certain companies are financially strained and there is uncertainty among the market. … We are eager to meet experienced guards from other companies,” said Hunter Garth, managing director of IPG, in a statement.
In Colorado, the marijuana industry is basically operating as an all-cash industry, because national banks don’t want anything to do with pot, since it’s still technically illegal nationally. [Read more at Denver Business Journal]
