Next Developmental Milestone in Aggressive National Expansion Strategy to Deliver Dixie
Elixirs & Edibles Products Across the Country

Las Vegas, NV/Denver, CO (February 16, 2016): Dixie Elixirs & Edibles, a Dixie Brands, Inc. company and creator of the world-famous Dixie Elixir, has formed a joint venture agreement with Nevada’s Silver State Wellness, LLC. Today’s announcement marks Dixie’s fifth market expansion in the last nine months, with plans to bring a line of eight different edible, vapable and topical cannabis products to the Nevada medical marijuana market by late May, 2016.

“Dixie’s expansion into Nevada marks our fifth state and a definitive moment in our National expansion,” said
Tripp Keber, CEO of Dixie Brands, Inc. “The market opportunities for Dixie in Nevada are tremendous between the potential passage of adult-use laws in 2016, combined with the fact that the Nevada market is still in its infancy, allowing for great first-mover advantage for brands that can solidify their presence. However, the most important factor in making our move into Nevada was finding the right partners. We couldn’t be more proud and humbled to be partnered with Silver State Wellness, an organization that truly defines the meaning of integrity in business. Together, we look forward to establishing Dixie as one of the first and highest quality products available to Nevada’s medical cannabis patients.”

Industry insiders have identified Nevada as the next big state to watch in 2016 due to the upcoming ballot initiative to tax and regulate adult-use cannabis. Silver State Wellness has rapidly established itself as a market leader in Nevada, is currently in development a state-of-the art cultivation facility and, a separate state-of-the art product manufacturing center in Las Vegas. The relationship with Dixie is the Company’s first foray into infused product manufacturing.

“As a leader in the Nevada market, the combined strengths of our two organizations creates a true force to be reckoned with,” said Ross Goodman, a founder of Silver State Wellness. “We look forward to leveraging Dixie’s expertise and our local knowledge to establish a lasting presence in the Nevada cannabis market.” “The combination of our dual licensing, professional capacities and ties to the local community provide Dixie Brands a solid partner and platform to service Nevada Medical Marijuana Patients,” added Michael Hayford, President and CEO of Silver State Wellness, LLC.
