Getting employees to “own” their job is something that every manager in every industry is looking for.
And, the Cannabis Industry is no exception.
This is what employee engagement is all about. That’s the extra effort people put into their job because they love what they are doing and want to do more because they are really into their work.
But how do you get that? How do you get workers to be more engaged and to “own” their job?
Well, Eric Chester is a long-time observer of workplace practices, and he recently came up with his “10 ways to encourage your people to turn right, own their job and control their future in your organization.”
These are great tips from Eric that you should try to put to work in YOUR cannabis business no matter what it is you do.
Eric Chester adds this:
If you want your employees to take ownership in their jobs and work for you the way they’d work for themselves, you must invite them to be more than just an order-taking drone by cultivating a culture of autonomy.”
These are great words of advice, and Eric knows of what he speaks. If you are serious about really building your own marijuana business, they can really help you get on the road to doing that.
Offer your employees stock in the company and make them partners. Its worth it!
