CBE 100 MIP

Three weeks ago, we introduced the Cannabis Business Executive 100, which identified the most influential people who have brought the pot industry to where it is today.

CBE Press also published two additional lists, the Political 50 and the 20 Most Influential Women. In case you missed them, you can link to the lists below!

As with any list, we attempted to identify as many of the key figures whose impact on the burgeoning cannabis industry is unquestionable, but we truthfully expected that our first attempt would also begin a conversation that led to other worthy people being brought to our attention.

So to that end, here are several other individuals (in alphabetical order) who have also contributed heavily to the industry’s development and who are definitely people to watch for, now and on future lists.

  • Adam Bierman, Managing Partner,MedMen;
  • Matt Cook, COO, Agrisoft Development Group;
  • Richard Cowan, Former Director of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), Editor of The Marijuana News, Co-Founder of Freedom Leaf, Inc. and Editor-in-Chief of Freedom Leaf Magazine;
  • Julie Dooley, President & Founder, Julie’s Baked Goods;
  • Corey Hollister, CEO, American Cannabis Company, Inc;
  • Douglas “Doug” Leighton, Managing Partner/Principal/Co-Founder, Dutchess Capital Management LLC;
  • David Lampach, Founder & CEO, Steep Hill Halent
  • Jamie Lewis, Founder, Mountain Medicine, Vice President of Business Development, Good Chemistry and Board Chair of Cannabis Business Alliance;
  • Emily Paxhia, Founding Partner & Director of Relations, Poseidon Asset Management;
  • Morgan Paxhia, Founding Partner & Chief Investor, Poseidon Asset Management;
  • Charles Ramsey, CEO, Agrisoft Development Group;
  • Amanda Reiman, Manager of Marijuana Law and Policy at the Drug Policy Alliance;
  • Meg Saunders, CEO, Mindful;
  • Andy Williams, President & CEO, Medicine Man; and,
  • Henry Wykowski, Founder Henry G. Wykowski & Associates.

Cannabis Business Executive would like to congratulate the individuals listed above for their contributions to the Cannabis Industry, and, our apologies again to anyone that we may have overlooked or not included in the First Annual CBE 100.

However, keep in mind, all of those noted here are advocates for ending prohibition …the First Annual CBE 100 Most Influential list included Richard Nixon, Dr. Nora Volkow of NIDA and DEA head Michelle Leonhart, all prohibition advocates and clearly deserving of their positions on this year’s list.

Also remember — the 2015 CBE list promises to expand specifically to include just the businesses and owners that have led their companies, through careful execution and best practices, to profitability and leadership positions in the industry categories that they represent. We will also continue to publish the annual Top Political Influencers and Women Cannabis Industry Leaders next year as well!

Stay tuned, and please feel free to let us know others that merit consideration, whether on the pro or anti-prohibition sides.

Best regards,

Rob Meagher
