GrayRobinson adds group to advise on medical marijuana

Doctors, growers, sellers and investors eager to do business in medical marijuana likely will need to figure out what will be legal, and lawyers are ready to offer advice.

The Orlando-based law firm GrayRobinson, one of Florida’s largest, announced Tuesday it is adding a new practice that will focus on medical marijuana law, even before that law is detailed in any way. The practice will involve up to 25 lawyers with specialties in everything from investment law to health-care law.

The move comes after Florida legislators approved a very limited medical marijuana program last spring and before voters consider a far-broader proposal, Amendment 2, on the November ballot. [Read More…]
