Nevada to Accept Medical Marijuana Applications August 5-18

People hoping to get into Nevada’s budding medical marijuana business can apply for a state license in August.

The Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health announced Friday that it will accept applications from Aug. 5 through Aug. 18. Each application for a dispensary, cultivation or processing facility requires a nonrefundable $5,000 fee. The agency will then rank all applications.

To guard against favoritism, the agency says applicants are prohibited from submitting their responses on company letterhead. Additionally, individual names of owners, officers and other principals cannot appear on certain pages of the application. [Read More]
