Georgia Regents University, state lawmakers move forward on medical marijuana study

Researchers at Georgia Regents University will study a product derived from marijuana that could be used to treat children who suffer from seizures, under a new agreement between the university, the state and a pharmaceutical company.

Epidolex is a GW Pharmaceuticals investigational product that uses cannabidiol, a marijuana extract also known as CBD that doesn’t get users high, university officials said in a written statement Tuesday. [Read More…]
